Nine hours upright.
And nothing holding your head.
The moment you drift off, your head goes forward and you’re awake again. ROVE+ closes at the front, so it’s already holding you. Same in a middle seat as a window — the support is attached to you, not the seat.
One of these is open at the front.
Both have an opening for your neck. Only one has a gap at the front — and forward is the direction a sleeping head goes. That’s the whole product.
It holds your head. That’s it.
The upper edge sits under your jaw and carries the weight, so your neck isn’t doing the work.
Roll it, bag it — but roll it tight.
It rolls down to about the size of a toilet roll and goes into the case it comes with. Fair warning — getting it back in takes a firm roll.
Sleep researchers already worked this out. It’s your head.
Deep sleep switches off the muscles holding your head up. Sitting upright, that’s the exact moment it drops. You never get five minutes in a row.
These studies describe sleeping upright in general. They weren’t run on this product and we’re not claiming they were.
Free carry case. Refund if you land no better than you would have without it.
Anywhere you’re stuck upright for hours.
The problem was never the aircraft. It’s the seat angle and the hours.
The closure, the foam, and the cover.
Nine complaints about U-shaped pillows. Six fixed, one partly, one we can’t, one we make worse.
| Complaint | ROVE+ | |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Head still falls forward | Fixed |
| 2 | Stiff neck anyway | Fixed |
| 3 | Shoves your chin into your chest | Fixed |
| 4 | Head drops sideways in a middle seat | Fixed |
| 5 | Squashes your face into it | Fixed |
| 6 | Doesn’t fit my neck | Fixed |
| 7 | Too bulky to pack | Partly |
| 8 | Gets in the way of headphones | Not fixed |
| 9 | Too warm by hour eight | Worse |
Seven things we’d rather you knew now.
We have no reviews yet. This is what we can offer instead.
It rolls down small. Rolling it tight enough takes patience.
Left loose in a bag it grabs the fabric and pills it.
Mesh panel helps. It’s still more foam against you than a U-shape.
Earbuds are fine. Over-ears fight the sides.
That’s the mechanism. On some jaw shapes it reads as pressure.
It holds one position. That’s the point, and it isn’t for everyone.
Memory foam. Give it a day in a ventilated room.
If any of it is a dealbreaker, don’t buy it. We’d rather lose the sale than process the return.
The other way to sleep upright costs thousands.
A lie-flat seat works. It also costs thousands, and you pay it again every trip.
This is $39.99, once.

Straight answers.
Does it actually hold my head up?
Yes. Your head can tilt — it can’t fall forward, because there’s no gap for it to fall through.
How is it different from the airport kiosk one?
That one is open at the front. This one closes. Everything else is secondary.
Will crew make me put it away?
Restrictions target things that inflate or attach to the aircraft. This does neither — it’s worn, like a scarf.
Does it work in a middle seat?
Yes, and that’s the seat it’s best in. No window needed.
Headphones?
Earbuds yes. Over-ears, not comfortably.
Does it get hot?
Warmer than a U-shape. There’s a mesh panel, but there’s more of it touching you.
How long does shipping take?
Free US shipping. We ship within 1–2 business days and it arrives in another 2–3. You’ll get tracking by email when it leaves.
What if it doesn’t work for me?
Email us within 30 days of delivery and we’ll send return instructions. You post the pillow back at your own postage cost, and once it reaches us we refund the full purchase price — not store credit.
